AI Enablement

AI enablement that starts with the work, not the tools.

We redesign how your function runs, people in the right place, processes around them, AI where it belongs, then install the systems and hand them over running. Function by function: go-to-market, sales, brand and content creation, operations.

What AI enablement means

AI enablement is making a team genuinely able to operate with AI, not just equipped with it. Tools and training are the easy part, and on their own they fail: the pilots stall, the licences go unused, the work does not change. Real enablement is AI-first work redesign: rebuild how the function runs, install the systems, and train the team until they operate everything without outside help.

AI enablement, a working definition.

A minute and a half on what it takes for a team to be able to operate with AI, not just be equipped with it.

How the work runs

Diagnose. Redesign. Install.

The same method behind every Catalys.ai engagement, scoped to one function.

01
Diagnose

We find the constraint holding the function back. Not an AI opportunity scan, a diagnosis of where the work actually loses time, quality, or people.

02
Redesign

AI-first work redesign: for each piece of work, should AI do it, should AI support it, or does it stay human? People land in the right place, processes rebuilt around them, and every piece that moves to AI comes with an answer for where the person moves up to.

03
Install

We build the systems and put them into operation with your team. Installed means running, measured, and operated by your people, install is not done until that is true.

How to start

Three ways in. One for each step.

Each step of the method has a free instrument you can use alone, and a paid engagement where we run it with your team. Start wherever the constraint is.

Step 1 · Diagnose

Half a day with your leadership team. Everyone takes the readiness assessment alone first; in the room, the gaps between your answers become one named constraint and one first move with an owner. A written Readiness Report follows within five working days.

Free version: the seven-minute readiness assessment.

Step 2 · Redesign

A facilitated session with one function. We map the work, decide piece by piece what AI takes end to end and what stays human, design the handoffs, and leave with the first workflow ready to install.

Step 3 · Install
AI enablement engagement

We build the systems and put them into operation with your team, function by function, until your people run everything without us. Scoped to the constraint the first two steps surfaced.

Free version: the Data Floor Checklist, to see what has to be true first.

No prices on this page on purpose: each engagement is scoped to your function on the call. If the constraint is not one AI can move, we say so there.

Function by function

One function is a manageable decision.

A whole growing company, or a single function anywhere, including inside a large organisation. A function of 20 to 100 people has one accountable leader and no committees: it can be redesigned in weeks, whatever the logo on the building says.

The Catalysts below are our productised installs for the constraints we see most often, a starting point, not a boundary. Where your diagnosis calls for something else, we install what fits: tools you already pay for, the best product for the job, or something built for you.

Go-to-market

AI enablement for go-to-market

The full commercial motion redesigned: marketing, customer success, and sales operations run by systems your team directs instead of feeds.

Brand & content

AI enablement for brand and content creation

Your brand system codified into an AI designer your team operates: landing pages, brochures, campaign assets, on-brand from anyone, four weeks to handoff, yours forever.

Sales

AI enablement for sales

Every conversation qualified, booked, and logged by the system, so sellers spend their week selling. One sales team cut its admin load by two-thirds.

Operations

AI enablement for operations

Same method, scoped to how your operation actually runs: diagnosis and evaluation first, then redesign across people and AI, then installation of what the need calls for. Customer service is the first operations function with its own Catalyst: Support Catalyst answers from your technical documentation. Keel is the operating platform much of it lands on: humans and AI working the same board, every piece of work on one visible line to your goals.

The build-or-buy question

Three ways to get this capability.

Companies posting AI transformation roles have already made the decision that matters. The open question is how the capability arrives, and what it costs to be wrong.

Hire an AI enablement manager Bring in a big consultancy Install it with Catalys.ai
Real cost Six-figure salary + 25–30% recruiter fee Six-figure engagement A fraction of either, scoped per function
Time to first shipped change 6–12 months: fill the seat, then ramp Strategy first, delivery maybe Weeks
Who does the work One generalist covering strategy, change, and delivery A rotating team that leaves Operators who build with your team, then hand off
What you are left with One employee, and the knowledge leaves with them A deck Working systems, run by your people

Sometimes hiring is right, once there is an AI-first operation for that person to run. Enablement builds the operation; the hire then has something to lead. Weighing it now? Take the ten-question scorecard: free, instant download.

Transfer by design

We don’t promise knowledge transfer.
We build systems that can’t run without it.

Every system we install is built to be operated by your people, that is the design, not a clause. To run it they have to know it, so training is not a workshop at the end, it is how the installation happens. Handoff is not a date on a plan: it is the moment your team runs the system without us in the room, and if that takes a cycle longer, that is the bar it has to clear.

Questions

AI enablement, asked straight.

What is AI enablement?

AI enablement is the work of making a team genuinely able to operate with AI, not just equipped with it. In practice that means redesigning how the work runs, people in the right place, processes around them, AI where it belongs, then installing the systems and training the team until they run everything without outside help.

What is the difference between AI enablement and AI transformation?

AI transformation is the outcome a company budgets for. AI enablement is how we get there: making one team genuinely able to operate with AI, then the next. A transformation that skips enablement buys tools and a workshop and changes nothing. Start with one function: it is a manageable decision, and a working function is the strongest argument for going wider.

How is this different from AI training?

Training teaches people tools and hopes the work changes. Enablement changes the work first, then trains people on systems they will actually operate. Skills taught in the abstract decay in weeks; skills used daily to run a live system do not.

Do you only install your own products?

No. The Catalysts, Sales Catalyst, GTM Catalyst, Design Catalyst, and Keel, are our productised installs for the constraints we see most often, and when one fits it is the fastest path. When it does not, the diagnosis decides the system: tools you already pay for, the best third-party product for the job, or something built for you. The method is the product, not the software.

What does AI enablement consulting cost?

Engagements are scoped per function, so there is no menu price, but the honest benchmark is the alternative: a full-time AI transformation hire runs to six figures a year plus recruiter fees, and takes months to find and months more to ramp. A function-level enablement engagement costs a fraction of that and ships working systems in weeks. Book a discovery call and we will scope it against your function.

Do we need a Chief AI Officer?

Usually not yet. A Chief AI Officer makes sense once there is an AI-first operation to govern. Hiring the title before the capability exists is the most expensive way to run a pilot. Enablement builds the capability first, function by function, and the systems your team ends up running tell you what kind of leadership the operation actually needs.

We are a large company. Does this work for a single function?

Yes, and it is often the best fit. A function of 20 to 100 people inside a large organisation has the same properties as a growing company: one accountable leader, a redesignable workflow, and no committee between decision and change. We enable the function; the wider organisation can follow when the results are on the board.

How long does an engagement take?

Weeks per function, not quarters. Diagnosis is days. Redesign and installation run in short cycles, and handoff happens when your team operates the system without us in the room, if that takes a cycle longer than planned, that is the bar it has to clear, not a date on a slide.
