AI enablement · Step 2 · Redesign

The AI-First Work Redesign Sprint: one function, redrawn.

A facilitated session with one function. We map the work, decide piece by piece what AI takes end to end and what stays human, design the handoffs, and leave with the first workflow ready to install.

Scope it in a call → One function · one facilitated session · workbook and handouts included

Want to try it yourself first? The Work Redesign Audit workbook is the free, fourteen-page version.

What you leave with
  • ›The function’s work mapped piece by piece and scored on the five questions from the audit: volume, repetition, rules, data, and the cost of getting it wrong.
  • ›A decision for each piece: AI does it, AI supports it, or it stays human, with the handoffs designed so nothing falls between.
  • ›The first workflow chosen and drawn, with an install brief: what runs it, what a person checks, and what you measure.
  • ›A move-up plan for every person whose work shifts, so redesign never becomes redundancy.
01
Before

The team completes the Work Redesign Audit workbook for their function. We read it, so the session starts from their answers, not from a blank wall.

02
In the room

Map every piece of work. Score it. Decide what AI does end to end, what it supports, what stays human. Design the handoffs. Choose the first workflow.

03
You leave with

The redesigned workflow, the move-up plan, and an install brief your team can act on the following week.

04
Then

Install it yourselves from the brief, or with us. Installed means running, measured, and operated by your people.

Questions

Questions, asked straight.

Which function should go first?

The one most tied to the outcome you care about this year, usually the function the readiness assessment or the Readiness Sprint surfaced as moving from Assisted to Centaur. Sales, design and content, go-to-market, and operations are the ones we redesign most often.

Does redesign mean people lose their jobs?

No. The rule of the room is that every piece of work that moves to AI comes with an answer for where the person moves up to. That is what the Move-Up Map is for. The companies that cut first and redesigned never are the ones in the rehiring data.

Which AI tools do we end up with?

That is decided in the room, from what the redesigned workflow actually needs: tools you already pay for, the best third-party product for the job, or one of the Catalysts when it fits. The method is the product, not the software.

How long does it take?

One facilitated session with the function, half a day to a full day depending on how much work there is to map. Participants complete the free Work Redesign Audit workbook for their function beforehand, so the room starts with the work already on the table.

What happens after the session?

You leave with the first workflow designed and an install brief. Some teams install it themselves from the brief. Others ask us to install it with them, which is the third step of the method.
