Hire a designer? Or build one that works for you forever.

You need landing pages, decks, posters, social assets, and one-pagers, constantly. But a full-time designer costs tens of thousands a year, a freelance retainer adds up fast, and an agency is never quite there when you need them. Meanwhile, your marketing manager could create these assets themselves, if only the design decisions were already made.

That’s what Design Catalyst does.

A full-time designer
Costs tens of thousands a year.
A freelance retainer
Adds up fast.
An agency
Never quite there when you need them.
Build one that works for you forever
Decisions made once, then enforced by thirteen mechanical checks, every release, in seconds.
What it is

Senior expertise. Codified. Embedded.

We work with you, a senior brand and design strategist, and a senior marketing strategist to define your brand: logo, colours, typography, components, tone, then embed those decisions into an AI agent trained on your business. After the sprint, anyone on your team produces on-brand decks, posters, emails, and collateral, and full web pages and UI, in minutes, with no design skills, no agency brief, no approval queue. It runs in the AI tools your team already uses: Claude, Cursor, Codex, Copilot. Not another platform to adopt. And because it’s law rather than a plugin, it carries into agent-connected tools too: we cut our own videos in Palmier under the same brand rules.

And consistency stops being a struggle, because it was never a design problem. It was a decision problem, and the decisions are now made once and enforced forever. Every rule cites the Brand Book section that ruled it, and its date, so the reasoning outlives whoever was in the room.

We are client zero: this entire website was built the way Design Catalyst works.

One developer, the codified design system, and Claude Code. Every asset we ship still goes through it.

Live proof

Watch it build a page. Unedited.

One prompt, zero brand instructions. Our AI designer builds a complete page, fails its own brand review on two invented colours, fixes them, and ships to production, in eleven minutes, on camera.

The sprint

Four weeks, two starting points.

Starting point A

Have a logo and not much else? We build the complete system from that foundation.

Starting point B

Have a brand that needs a refresh? We evolve it strategically and codify the result.

Ownership

Everything transfers at handoff.

You own the designer.
The repository. Your brand system itself. Your brand as machine-readable rules in a git repository you own: the single source every surface below is generated from, and the reason none of them can contradict it or each other. It is what makes the system work in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot and other agent-connected tools: on-brand websites, emails, UI, and video edits by default.
The full brand system. Logo suite, colour architecture, typography, components, interface motion.
Every rule cites the decision behind it. Each rule names the Brand Book section that ruled it, and its date, and every ruling sits in a numbered decision log you can read. “Why is our blue different from 2024?” has a permanent answer, and new hires inherit the reasoning, not just the values.
Regulated sectors. In medical devices, pharma and financial services, the same mechanism carries your approved claims and mandatory wording. Every phrase traces to a ruling and a date, every change ships as a versioned release, so compliance reviews once and the system enforces it on every asset after. How it works for regulated teams →
Installed in the tools your team already uses. Set up in your working repositories for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Copilot, plus an uploadable Claude workspace skill for everyone who doesn’t work in a terminal.
The Brand Book, the user guide and the walkthrough video. The reference document for your whole team, rendered from the rules, so it can never drift from them.
The Prompt Playbook. Ready-to-use prompts for every asset type your team produces.
Brand QA is a check, not an opinion. Thirteen mechanical checks on palette, type, shape, voice, retired language and file integrity, run in seconds before every release, with a judgment-level audit on top for what machines can’t settle. In its first week on our own work it caught an off-palette colour in this very brochure.
Every piece ships as a version. When an asset is finished it goes through the checks, and the moment they pass it is released: the final file, the source it came from and the record of what was checked, published as a version in your own repository. Nothing ends up in a folder called final-v3, and any asset traces back to the rules that made it.
Your operating layer. How things get made, in the same repository as the rules: publishing checklist, collateral production, formats and the generators behind them. A new machine or a new agent starts where the last one left off.
Two live training sessions. Your team builds its first real assets with the system: you leave with a starter kit you made yourselves.
Brand Evolution · Optional add-on

Your brand grows with the company.

A brand isn’t finished at handoff: new products, new channels, and new campaigns keep arriving. Brand Evolution keeps your codified system moving at the same speed: every decision numbered and dated in a log you can read, every release synced to your whole team automatically.

Your rulings, promoted monthly

A candidates inbox records what emerges in daily work. A monthly digest lists what could become a rule. Each ruling becomes a numbered decision and a versioned release, delivered.

Quarterly brand health check

We review what your team and tools actually produced, find the drift, and fix it in the system, so consistency compounds instead of decaying.

Support hours

A defined bank of senior design time each quarter for whatever comes up, sized to your needs, always there when you need it.

Annual add-on · Your brand system stays complete and yours even if you stop.

Questions

Design Catalyst, asked straight.

What is Design Catalyst?

Your brand system, codified into an AI designer your team operates: landing pages, brochures, campaign assets, on-brand from anyone who uses it.

What do we need before starting?

A brand worth codifying. Existing guidelines help but are not required: the four-week sprint captures the decisions that make your brand yours, then encodes them.

Who owns the result?

You do. One-time payment, full ownership at handoff, and it keeps working for you after we leave.

Does it replace designers?

It replaces production grind. Designers move up to direction and judgment while the system holds the line on consistency.

Your in-house AI designer.

We’ll also tell you honestly if design isn’t your binding constraint.
